if you do a little research you will relized that v6 insurance is just as high at gt insurance trust me i have had both a v6 and a gt. My insurance on the GT was lower than the v6, and i know this is because of it being a newer car. But i did get quotes on 04 gts and it was only like 15 more a month than the v6
