Having both an LS1 car and a mod motor car, I'd give the power gains and ease of modding to the Camaro any day of the week. I only got a Mustang because the Fbody wasn't comfortable to me with how short I am.
As for V6 vs V8 vs V12 vs I3 vs W16 vs what the hell else you're using to move your 2 or 4 or 6 wheels around (I think I covered everything), who cares what you use so long as you make power with it?? I'm only going with a 4V because I got the motor cheap, after the cost of the build etc. it would have been cheaper and faster with an LS1. But whatever, that's life, when life is cars.
