yes the nuts are easy to strip off,I remembered that from my stang I had in high school. That's one of the first things I bought after bringing this car home.

It's funny you mention a line bender cause i'm actually looking to get one will I wait for my brake line to get here. I already have new lines to go across the axle and the rubber line to connect to the hardline. The lines for the axle are pre-bent but will still need some tweaking to make fit.
