Jody made a good point. I installed my cams with the motor in and it was a PITA. I could emagine removing and installing some heads with exhaust manifold still in. you dont really have much room with a 4.6 mod motor. and they say for best results from the cams you should get long tubes. I dynoed 286 hp and 288 torque to the wheels with simple bolt ons and cams. I wish, I should have waited a little longer to save some dow and had my heads ported and polished. I know with a PI conversion on a non PI motor you will see bigger numbers with the cams then my stang. because of you compression being higher with the head swap.
