And even by pulling a fuse, which in cars now a days, there are several, it is defeating the purpose, thanks to modules being connected to modules that will still power the system.
By disconnecting the battery and waiting 10 minutes (as suggested in Ford manuals) it gives time for ALL modules to power down and be safe for removal.
