Check the intake, I bet the heater outlet to the core may be cracked and leaking a bit of coolant in the #4 hole...
Mine did it constantly, plus the stock NPI intake sucks, (even after the recall) and the cooling system for 96-97 was not the best, temps higher then normal caused havoc on those years.

Easy way to tell, when it does misfire, pull the #4 wire and see if there is any moisture in the bore and wire end.

Make sure the plug does not have any cracks either, (new or not, it happens).
