I had the Tri-Ax on my 03 GT and thought it was nice, too. Until I bought the MGW I have on the Bullitt.

The Tri-Ax was "loose" and sloppy, and in neutral, it moved side to side like the stock shifter. It also felt very mechanical.

The MGW shifter is tight, precise, and smooth. It looks nicer. The quality is better.
MGW is known for their quality pieces, and you get what you pay for. They also have a name to maintain. When I think of MGW, "high quality" is the first thing that comes to mind.
