Idea: Like the tow company, or an employee, had a new key made?
Don pointed this one out.
I've made my own key before .... it's actually very easy, if you have the key-hole to yourself for an hour, and have a blank, and a fine file.
... and they had the car for a while to MAKE a key, and knew where it would
be the next night ....
