4V 93' coupe

Well I figured I might as well start a thread on it.

I have a 93' coupe that I'm dropping a 96' cobra engine in it. I have a complete donor car, so hopefully it goes pretty smooth. So far I have taken the drivetrain out of the 96'. tomorrow I start tearing apart the 93'. I think this project will take me a while to complete the swap. Heres a couple of pics. will post more later

Pics added below.

sounds fun... shouldn't be too hard with a little patience and maybe access to both workshop manuals...

Nice build. Are you gonna convert the 93 to a 5-lug? Or you gonna keep the 4-luggers?
Keep us posted

I know I havent updated this in a while but I got it running about 2 months ago and ran all the wiring. I still need to do a whole bunch of crap like finish wiring doors, dash, lights, ect. I also need to reassemble interior and whole front end. But I have lost the motivation to get my ass in gear and do it, besides I'm also out of cash for the time being so I guess it is gonna sit for a while. I'll upload some progress pics tomorrow. Also I am running stock manifolds and will stay 4-lug due to me wanting to stick with the 93 cobras.

Sorry for the delay on pics. Still cant find my camera so I just took some with my phone. I've been trying to get the car painted so I can start putting it all back together. Once I get it painted I'll be motivated to work on it more.

88mclaren: I still havent had a chance to put those 4.30s in there. I wanna buy a posi rebuild kit before I take it apart for the gears.

Update. I had sent my car over to a buddy to paint. We bartered some work as a partial payment. Long story short, he had it for 5 months and did nothing. So I ended up losing time and money. Hopefully I will be getting it painted right soon!

any wiring hints? i'm swapping my Bullitt donor parts into a '92 LX. i'm thinking i should be able to basically use the full body harness with just some minor splicing/pigtail swaps(doors, lights, etc).

looks nice so far!

Re: 4V 93' coupe

I used all 96' cobra wh front to back. Haven't spliced in doors but if you have door wh from bullit use that so it's plug n play. For lights I made newer bulbs fit into old housing. Are u swapping interiors?

no, staying fox interior as i have no desire to cut the dash to fit. and i already have a full autometer cluster. i will lay down the full body harness.

Very interested as well, I just started on a procharged 4V swap into my 84 Coupe, with full cobra suspension, and I'm considering the the dash, as well. Also have 07 seats swapped in.

I havent really had them in long enough to really look, but they aren't all that big. If I get my coupe fired up tomorrow, I will start putting the interior back in it and post up some pics.
