Don't know where you heard that crap. I had all the brakes and ABS from a 96 car and use the 97 Cobra wheels...looks and fits great! I used the axles and all from the rear of the 96 into the rear end on my 93 Coupe and swapped over the spindles out on the front. I would suggest you replace your Fox ball joints and use a set from a 95 GT as you won't have to mess with the 0.330" stack of washers between the castle nut and the spindle to get it to bolt down right. The SN-95 ball joint fits in the Fox LCA just like the Fox ball joint. One other suggestion is CC plates if you do not have them as you will need them. I would also suggest a bump steer kit as you will need it as well.

I just did this again on the front of the car as the MM K-member and the MM LCA's were dropped as well. The LCA's already have the SN-95 style ball joints in them and it made the bolt up super easy.

I just read a lot on the forums before I try anything as I hate to spend stupid money. Oh and I have the knack too...another fucking engineer. Anyhow here are a couple sites I think will help you out a lot as I got a ton of info from them myself:

Mustang Brake Conversion SN95Brakes.com

79-93 5 Lug Ford Fox Body Mustang Conversions

Using the SN95 setup you will have zero center cap problems. Where you run into the center cap problems is the old school Mrk VII rotor swap onto the stock Fox spindle. This will only clear a few rims but the 96 and 97 Cobra wheels will work as this is the route I went the first time...what a waste of money that was.

I suggset to make the rear easy is swap the entire axle assy from the 96 in to the fox. I have a 98 COBRA rear aasle in my 85. It is a direct bolt in and you get rear disc brakes in the deal. I will run my 04 mach wheels as soon as I get new wheels for it in a couple weeks (hopefully) and I have stet fit um and it appears there will be 0 issues. Also Tonya (bluestangchick on here) has 03-04 MACH rims on her fox so I know they will work.

how much for your front spindels from your 96 vert? i'm doing a 5 lug swap as well. the 96 spindels throw off the alignment, but as was said above, w/ a bumpsteer kit and c/c kit, it can be corrected.

A complete axle swap is much easier but I had just gone through my rear end and installed new 3.73's, all the bearings, and reworked the trac-lok so I opted for just replacing the axles and such.

I have attached a picture of the front with the new K-Member, LCA's and new brakes. I did not have one with the rim on here at work so I will try and get you one later this evening with the 97 Cobra rim on the front.
