just practice some more or get some slicks. you will find the sweet spot eventually. 1/8th mile tracks are good for 60' practice.

were these 60' times with an auto? if it is, id say that's pretty good with a stock motor and converter. most cars bog real bad with sticky tires and a stock motor.

seems kind of weak, 1.9s should be achievable definitely. Try not using a 2 step and doing it the natural way until you master a technique. I have to hald the throttle up, quickly let out the clutch aand give it the right amount of gas before it Bogs completely.

on my 16 245 nittos i would stay in the 1.8s 1.90s at 15 psi hot

on the 15s 1.8s and 1.7s with a good track day.

Now to be honest with you, if you run at SAR. THE TRACK PREP BLOWS. some days i will go out there and the car will just stay sideways and run 2.0s spinning 1s the entire way. Those days I either work on my mph or just leave.

Try to go during an event, a saturday pro event or clash of the titans or something and they will actually lay down some rubber for you.

If you run at HRP, well that is a great track and you wont have any trouble cutting 1.8s

i don't want to break the T-5, nor the rear end. so i've stuck with street tires and slipping the clutch some. best so far has been a 2.1 60' with 13.39 @ 107.45 at 3350lbs with me in it, not removing the sub or pass. seat.

I know my 12 second ET will come from a better 60ft. but i dont want to risk breaking anything. what do yall think?
I have the same gear ratio, and trap speed as you,(but about 200lbs lighter) and been launching on a stock trac lok forever.

It is the t-5 you got to be easy on, usually the 1-2nd, or 2-3rd shift will kill them on sticky tires, my clutch handles the initial 5k launch just fine, but I ease up on the shift to 2nd, cause that seems to be where my clutch has problems.
btw, my best 60' on m/t 26x8.5's drags (1.71) 4500 launch, I personally sucked with drag radials, but did manage a 1.98 60" on some firestones one night.
sling it out with some slicks

edit: I should have mentioned earlier, torque boxes dont like hard launches, they can easily be strengthened with some welding, or reinforcement plates, I just fixed a little tear in mine, im sure they are in need of some proffessional welding though.
