i'm sure it could, if you installed them incorrectly and fubared your motor. they are easy to install and shouldn't cause anyone trouble.

no gain in power... fuel supply is just needed so that your motor has the ability to make power without taking a crap on itself. since you know computers decently, ill attempt to make a computer analogy. think of the fuel as the size of space your hosting service you buy... and if the bandwidth or size or whatever it's called is exceeded, they get mad and shut you down because your have grown out of your limits. fuel ALLOWS you to have more power, it doesn't add any. sorry if that analogy sucked.
