70 Coupe Front End Issues

I'm having this problem lately, front passenger side, wheel wobble, intermittant, and a shimmy in the steering wheel. Everything underneath feels tight, lug nuts tight, the only thing I can think off is the idler arm crapping out, worn out bushing somewhere, worn out ball joint......PLEASE HELP YA'LL, I'm paranoid that people are staring at my wheel falling off and the not the car itsself, and ideas?

Disc brakes? Check the spindle nut. I had one come loose once and it would come and go. Granted, this was on an El Camino but the principle still applies.

What about wheel balance or out of round?

4 wheel drums, the tire is getting bad, it could be out of round but would'nt it be shaking constantly? Or could it still be intermittant?

If your front suspension is all original I would replace it along with new bushings. Other than what you said, a tire could be out of balance or you could have a bent wheel also.

I think this is the route I need to go, I'm gonna start looking around at kit prices,

12second5.0, I take it you do the work, do you have any suggestions? Like is there an affordable, easy, late-model front end swap that I don't know about...ie:is it possible to swap a fox front end w. mine, I'm not beyond payong someone to do the regular rebuild either, jus' so I know it's done right.

I bought all my stuff at Mustangs Plus. They sell the best setup IMO.I redid the owner of my dealership's car.He was very pleased. He used the Mustangs plus kit.Complete front and rear.He said it drove damn near as good as a new one with everything tight.

Also you may consider getting your steering box rebuilt or buy the flaming river one.
