Hey CCMust, welcome to Corpus. I really don't hang out at the usuaul hang out. But if you are intrested in meeting people. Most domestic cars meet every Friday and Saturday 11 pm (early) Off of Saratoga and Staples. To get there take the staples exit off the Freeway(Coming from the island), then turn left under the freeway and go all the down to Saratoga. You will see a Cricle K and right behind there in parking lot that has Marble slab, dollar store and some other stores. Then if you like imports and lowriders, you have to go downtown to the T -heads.
