91 integra

hey guys i have a question just got an integra for gas saver for work. but sord of grinds only in high speed when shifting into 3rd fourth n 5th when gettin on highway not bad just a little. but crusin in town doesnt do it only when goin fast. what do ya think it is, can anybody help
its an 5speed

What tranny do you have? Do you have the B16 motor? You could probably find a tranny used for a couple hundred easy n swap it out.

Yea you could probably find a tranny off craigslist for cheap and swap it out cheaper than replacing the syncros.

Any pics of your Integra? Thats my fav body style. Had a friend who had a GS-R in that body style. Wasnt fast but it was a neat car.

Ditto! I've also heard that if you have to replace the synchros you might as well rebuild the entire tranny. Parts are easier to come by than the money to repair those parts.

If you keep driving it its going to get worse regardless. If you dont take it up to high rpms you can easily prolongue its life tho.

I almost bought a really clean red 91 about a year ago, but it needed the c/v joints replaced and I didnt feel like dicking with it in my driveway. They have some clean older Integras out there, you just have to work hard to find the non raced/riced/beat up ones driven by little pukes with an attitude. lol

Yeah that's what I'm doin I try to get it into gear wit out grinding the guy before just put a new clutch cable what u think maybe needing adjusting cause it don't grind down shifting. Idk it's weird but it's pretty quick for an ls

LOL... I wouldnt put quick and LS in the same sentence. My friends GS-R even with full bolt ons was slow as shit. Had no balls at all. Rode on rails though and looked clean as hell.

Well o raced an 06 mustang gt automatic I pulled him n from a dig I got him then after 60 he past me lol but my fox now that's a difference story lol

His car is just what it is.. a 4cyl with no torque. It may be somewhat quick from a roll(I still put bus lengths on him) but it just has NO get up and go.

And those are built motors with 20lbs of boost running through them....and yet they still sound like this

im pretty sure any b16 gsr ls tranny bolts right up. They just have different gearing in them. You can get one off craigslist pretty cheap.

Well I found the eproblem it needed clutch cable adjusting doesn't do it anymore the guy put a new clutch cable n I adjusted it a bit n now it's great. But I'm thinkin of sale the car I just bought a bike n I got three cars n takin up to muchroom. Anybody intersted let me kno nice gas saver has cold ac been usin it to work n back I drive it out of town to work bout 60 miles a day runs great wit no problem.
