94-98 foglight question???

Does anyone know how to change or what the difference in the wiring of the foglights on a 94-98 as compared to the 99-04, when i had my 02 you could have the foglights on with the parking lamps, but in my 95 you can't you have to have the headlights on as well to use the foglights, i like the look of the foglights on without the headlights, any info would be greatly appreciated

it has to do with the existing power convertible top wire that is in all our cars( even ones that aren't verts) I'll see if I can't find a link. Basically your just splice the fog light switch into that which gives it power by itself instead of power with only the headlights.

found one post, it doesn't use the parking lamps it just uses the power from the convertible top harness so they can run completely independent

Pull the console off, the fog lamp relay is under there, jump the power wire to the switch power and be done. That's how I wired mine, I'll have to pull up a schematic, but it is a 5 minute job.

let me know if you find that schematic, and will the foglights work with the parking lamps on like the 99-04's or separately like the web site i found above

If you have a test light and some basic tools, I can walk you through it.
