Stang

Originally Posted by TrueBlueVenom View Post

I bought it from an older guy that had it for a few months and decided he wanted a new Vette instead! Apparently he bought it from some guy stationed at Randolph AFB. The guy I bought the car from said the person he purchased it from was forced by his wife to sell it because he was dumping to much money into it.

I have the following parts installed:

EXTERIOR:
- Saleen rear wing
- Saleen rear bumper
- Fender Flares
- Cobra R hood
- Cobra R wheels
- Cobra bumper
- Fresh paint

INTERIOR:
- Cobra Leather Seats (front & back)
- Cobra Instrument panel
- FR500 Steering Wheel
- New Headliner
- New Visors
- New carpet
- New radio trim
- New MP3 & USB Sony Stereo

PERFORMANCE:
- Edlebrock performer intake
- E303 cam
- Cobra 1.7 roller rockers
- Pro 80mm MAF
- BBK 70mm throttle body
- Ford Performance 24 # injectors
- BBK long tube headers
- Strut tower brace
- MSD ignition
- MSD blaster coil
- Fluidyne Radiator
- Edlebrock Aluminum Heads
- Racing clutch
- Maximum Motorsports Caster camber plates
- Steeda sport suspension
- Hurst short throw shifter

RECENTLY ADDED:
- MSD Pro Billet Distributor
- Aluminum Driveshaft
- Strange 31 spline axles
- Auburn 31 spline differential
- TA aluminum differential cover
- Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator
- EGR block off plate
- Bassani catbacks
- Maximum Motorsports full length sub frame connectors
- BBK underdrive pulleys
- BBK 255 LPH in tank fuel pump
- Black 17x9 FR500 Ultra Lite Wheels (weight: 21 pounds per wheel)
- Maximum Motorsports Tubular A Arms
- Maximum Motorsports Coilover kit
- Tokico D-spec fully adjustable Struts and shocks

PLANNED ADDITIONS:
- Root style supercharger (Kenny Bell 2.4L)
- Fidanza Billet Steel Flywheels - '94 GT (50oz 302cid 10.5" 157 tooth)
- T56 Tranny with 5.0L Bellhousing & support brace

The person that built this car paid very close attention to detail and had a very specific goal in mind according to the person I bought the car from. This car was to become supercharged and expected to hit the high 10's at the local Drag Strip.

I got tired of worrying about the car and were I parked it since it was a specialty car. I also had an incident when merging on the highway where a rock truck was dumping a bunch of rock on the highway and it pelted my paint job. I decided it was time to sell it after that.

Ok... The Aluminum drive shaft has been installed, don't see much of a difference though. Also fixed a pinion seal leak and threw in synthetic gear oil while I was at it.

Waiting on word from a guy selling his MSD Pro Billet Distributor.

Last but not least... Ordered an Aeromotive adjustable fuel pressure regulator. Should be here Thursday or Friday.

That thing is nice. I am looking at one that looks just like that ( minus the rims and spoiler.)
If I get it, I am going to sell my 88 and get some rims like that.
Congrats and welcome back.

Got the MSD distributor and fuel regulator... was told to run the fuel regulator at about 42 psi. Sounds a bit low to me... any thoughts from my fellow Stangers?

Also, what is the general thought of performance regarding the Bassani catbacks?

Looks like my Stang may be down for a bit... Harmonic Balancer went bad. The counter weight completely detached from the hub. Looking to get a single piece instead of the two piece. Maybe a fluidmpr or ATI... Not sure yet.

I am thinking the car may not be ready by Dyno Day. It will probably be fun to go and watch though.

The cost of everything at once is not something that I can readily afford unfortunately. So I have to take it a piece at a time. But I am slowly getting it there.

Not really sure to be quite honest... I suppose I'll sell the Steeda sport springs.

The shocks and struts will probably go in the garbage... They are crappy and old... did I mention that I think they are still stock?
