96-98 Cobra

I'm an ex Lightning owner and I've been wanting to get a Cobra. I've been doing the research and I love the 96-98 Cobras. I've been looking at purchasing one and I dont know a lot about them. I like making educated decisions and wanted to see what you guys thought about them and anything I should look for. Thanks for your time and input!

I got a 98 cobra. Pretty much all stock. I love it. Few minor problems, but nothing serious.

4.10s or 4.30s atleast. longtubes give about 10rwhp all the way across the rpm range, and midpipe and catback are about the same, 10-15rwhp each. gears are the biggest for NA 4v cars though.

exhaust should always be a preference to what sounds good to you. i love my new flowmaster super 44s with an o/r x pipe. if i had 1k dollars, id be having longtubes installed.(probably mac or bbk, they are reasonably priced fit well and yield the same as kooks, bassani or hooker.)

my steeda tri-ax on my 3650 rocks. other than the steeda tri-ax, i have to recommend roush. best shifter i ever had was in my 02 360r. never once missed a shift, never.

jegs sent me their catalog with the muffs that i ordered and i was surprised to find roush cai kits and shifters for mustangs. i have never been able to find these before. im now considering a roush cai, only because of the roush quality i had before. they are an exceptional company!
