98 F-150 timing problem

So my little brothers timing chain went out on his 98 f-150, oh it's a 4.6 engine. He installed a new one and the timing is off by 10 degrees. Which way do we rotate to correct the problem, clockwise or counter clockwise? Also the timing chain did not pop, it was completly loose and needed replacement.

You can only post in one section asking the same question, mods will close one or the other down.
