98 GT 01 Motor swap temp sensor???

Dropped a 01 motor in a 98 GT..Does anyone know the best way to install the coolant temp sensor in to the 01 coolant crossover..The 98 has 2 sensors. The 01 motor only has one.Machine shop????

I know the 98 has one for the gauge and the other for the computer. The 99-up cars had one for the computer and the computer sends the signal to the gauge. If you still have a 98 cluster and computer you will need to tap in somewhere. Someone chim in and let him know where.

if u got the intake with the aluminum tube in the front u can drill and tap it right next to the thermostat

Easiest way is a T fitting, no problems either

Ok well the shop that put the motor in merged the wires and now its hard to start but runs great...He said he thinks it's the ecu...Does that sound right
