'99-'04 Saleen bodykit

where's the best place to buy this kit? Anything I should look out for? I've heard horror stories about the prep when dealing with the actual Saleen kit.

i would doubt the actual one would be a problem, i woudl think the fiberglass replicas would be a pain...

if i was paranoid i would buy from somewhere local i could return it to if need be for exchange/return

There is a place called underground mustang in New York that is an authentic saleen parts dealer and they ship for next to nothing! They will also give a package deal as far as the entire exterior conversion! Call em there # is 718-645-4599

yes the replica saleen kits are alot easier to crack/chip on you. there is a slight diffrence between the authentic and the replicas.

yeah genuine Saleen stuff is $$$, kinda why I didnt do a Saleen kit when i first got my car... but they will last longer and require less maintance than a fiberglass replica... so think of it this way "spend a little more now than a lot more later on"

If you do go aftermarket try to get material other than fiberglass...look for polyurethane or plastic pieces, they will still cost a bit more, but not as much as the SALEEN stuff

i used to know a guy that worked on CrossRoadzDirect.com - Mustang and Corvette Community Information Portal and he always took care of his people...you can see what he has...

yeah, pretty much I'm gonna go with authentic Saleen on this. I rather pay alittle more now than pay more later and get the headaches to assist. I'm still mapping out if I'm going to go with a 3-piece, 1-piece or a S351/S281E wing. The E hood is out of the question, that's for sure!

Cervini's makes version of tke Saleen kit?

as far as the wing, 1-piece S281 is looking like the one. The extra parts in the 3-piece look like an after thought and I'm feeling the S281E wing at all
