a true money pit for sure

decided to replace the heads and cam on my '68. Once I started to tear it down, I decided might as well pull out the block and have it freshened too. Now that the engine is out of the car, decided it was time to steam clean the engine compartment to get it ready for the new motor. Now all the original green paint is showing, so now I need to sand down the firewall, sidewalls, and of course the frame rails and paint them. While I have the chance I am going to replace or rebuild the 40 year old steering gear box.

Not even sure how much money and time I will be spending, but in the end it will be worth it. Havent even thought about the exterior, which really needs to be brought down to metal and repainted. Talk about a money pit, at the moment that describes my Stang to a T.

Hey Adrock, how'd you do that? Thanks for posting the pics, Being that I am older than my Stang, I am lucky I can turn on a computer, lol.

Anyway, I am having her trucked back to my house so I can start taking the trim pieces off, then I hope to get the body down to metal and remove all the dings and imperfections to get her ready for paint. The pics you posted look great, but dont tell the real story as to the condition, thus the need for a makeover.
