ABS light

Recently the ABS light turns on as soon as I get on the highway.
Turns off when I exit. Don't have any issues with the brakes. Doesn't pull to
the side when braking. Brake fluid is within fluid limit, doesn't leak. The brake
pedal doesn't feel spongy or stiff. No uneven wear on pads. Don't think
any pistons in the calipers are sticking. IDK.... I don't have much experience
with brakes other than swapping out rotors and replacing pads. Any ideas?
Ride is a 1999 GT 4.6L 2 valve. All brake system is OEM.

yeah I recently bought new rear 285/40/18 Nittos 555's prolly about 3 months ago or so. The rears use to have 275/40/18's which were shorter in overall height. The fronts I'm running 275/35/18's. The ABS light issue just started recently so I didn't think the tires were linked to the ABS light.... anyone else think the tire size can set off the ABS light?

yes it can set the abs light off, what year is your stang? if it is a new edge that is a considerable differance in height from a stock 245/45/17. that could do it. id check the exciter rings on the back of the brake rotors. alot of times they get coated with dirt and debris. instead of looking like a sporcket it will look smooth like a circle so the abs sensor wont read it.

Yaeh chech for debris and or dirt on the pu or the ring.
Also may have an intermittent reader or faulty connct.

I have 315/35/17's on my car and no light. Usually the tire size will not effect it

not justa different size tire, but a different diameter tire on the front compared to the rear.
ABS will pick up two different wheel speeds.

LOL ... I rarely ever do ... only when I make a trip to eat lunch with wifey during the work week. Yeah I'll probe for OBD codes when the ABS light is on.
