This policy basically serves as a legal disclaimer to protect LoneStarStangs, and should not affect the majority of our current members as most of you guys abide by the rules.
This Acceptable Use Policy goes into effect as of today (March 25, 2004)
All new members will be required to agree with the terms of the Acceptable Use Policy before completing their registration. And all current members read over the Acceptable Use Policy and personal message to discuss any disagreements. By not personal messaging me, all current members will be under agreement of the policy. Again, most (if not all) members here should not have a problem with it.

The purpose of this Acceptable Use Policy is to enhance the quality of the Services and to protect LoneStarStangs (http://www.lonestarstangs.com) Members and Owners.
This Policy applies to each Member, guest, visitor, agents, or other users who obtain Services from LoneStarStangs.
Each Member/User should use common sense and good judgment in connection with the Services.
Parents or guardians should always supervise minors in using the Internet.
Parents and guardians should remain aware at all times of what is on the Internet and how the minors under their care are using the Services and the Internet.
All pictures and/or videos hosted on LoneStarStangs have been sent in to LoneStarStangs by members of LoneStarStangs. Once pictures and/or videos have been submitted, they become property of LoneStarStangs.
LoneStarStangs members agree to the terms and conditions specified below when using LoneStarStangs directly.
Usage of LoneStarStangs services implies that you agree with these terms and conditions.
Member agrees to use LoneStarStangs only for lawful purposes.
LoneStarStangs reserves the right to terminate any account for which a member is found to be posting any material in violation of any U.S. or state statute or regulation, including but not limited to material in violation of U.S. copyright law, and material legally judged to be threatening or obscene.
Any misuse of LoneStarStangs resources that disrupts the normal use of the system is strictly prohibited.
Such system abuse may lead to termination of the account.
Examples of system abuse include but are not limited to posting numerous useless messages that consume bandwidth, consuming excessive amounts of disk storage by attaching too many pictures, etc.
Any attempts to penetrate LoneStarStangs security will result in the termination of the member’s account without notice, as well as notification of appropriate law-enforcement agencies.
The following violations are grounds for immediate suspension of account(s) pending investigation by LoneStarStangs Administration and will result in termination of the account(s) if the investigation determines that the member has originated or is any way responsible for such activities:
1. Posting a single article or substantially similar articles to an excessive number of threads (i.e., more than 5) or continued posting of articles which are off-topic (e.g., off-topic according to the Forum section or the article provokes complaints from the readers of the forum for being off-topic.
2. Sending unsolicited mass private messages (i.e., to more than 5 individuals, also known as SPAMMING) which provoke complaints from the recipients.
3. Harassment of other individuals on the Forum after being asked to stop by those individuals and/or LoneStarStangs Moderator Team.
4. Impersonating another user or otherwise falsifying ones user name in Forum postings, in the chat room, in e-mail, or with any other Internet service.
5 . Adult content of any nature is not permitted. Links to adult content is not permitted. Both are subject to IMMEDIATE and FINAL suspension of member accounts. No second offense permitted. Posting and uploading X-Rated, Adult, Sex content, whether photographic or any kind of artistic representation found can, result in IMMEDIATE and FINAL suspension of hosting services.
6 . No nude pictures of any type, whether photographic, artist depiction, or cultural study, are permited. Same results as #5.
The reselling of LoneStarStangs services is not permitted without prior written permission.
LoneStarStangs makes no warranties of any kind, either express or implied, regarding the quality, accuracy, or validity of the data and/or information residing on the Forum or any webpage on LoneStarStangs.com.
LoneStarStangs reserves the right to interrupt service periodically for maintenance. LoneStarStangs will do its utmost to provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week service.
LoneStarStangs reserves the right to deny service to any member/user at anytime, and for any reason.
Member agrees that LoneStarStangs will not be liable for any loss of Member's data (posts or personal messages), or for interruption of business, or any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages or any kind (including lost profits) regardless of the form of action whether in contract, tort (including negligence), or otherwise.
Members acknowledge and agree that this Policy may change at any time, at the sole discretion of LoneStarStangs.
Members acknowledge and agrees that once LoneStarStangs modifies or amends this Policy, that any changes are immediately binding upon the Members.
Failure to comply with this Policy may result in termination of your account(s) with no refunds offered (to donating members). I) Prohibited Uses
A. Utilize the Services to "spam" the forum with advertisements, and/or send mass unsolicited e-mail to third parties.
B. Utilize the Services in connection with any illegal activity. Without limiting the general application of this rule, Users may not:
(i) Utilize the Services to copy material from third parties (including text, graphics, music, videos or other copyrightable material) without proper authorization.
(ii) Utilize the Services to misappropriate or infringe the patents, copyrights, trademarks or other intellectual property rights of any third party.
(iii) Utilize the Services to traffic in illegal drugs, illegal gambling, obscene materials or other any products or services that are prohibited under applicable law.
(iv) Utilize the Services in any manner that violates applicable law.
C. Utilize the Services in connection with any tortuous or actionable activity. Without limiting the general application of this rule, Users may not:
(i) Utilize the Services to publish or disseminate information that (A) constitutes slander, libel or defamation, (B) publicizes the personal information or likeness of a person without that person’s consent or (C) otherwise violates the privacy rights of any person.
(ii) Utilize the Services to threaten persons with bodily harm, to make harassing or abusive statements or messages, or to solicit the performance of acts or services that are illegal under applicable law.
D. Utilize the Services in connection with any other disruptive or abusive activity. Without limiting the general application of this rule, Users may not:
(i) Utilize the Services to cause denial of service attacks against LoneStarStangs or other forums or Internet users or to otherwise degrade or impair the operation of LoneStarStangs servers and facilities or the servers and facilities of other network hosts or Internet users.
(ii) Utilize the Services to subvert, or assist others in subverting, the security or integrity of any LoneStarStangs systems, facilities or equipment.
(iii) Utilize the Services to gain unauthorized access to the computer networks of LoneStarStangs or any other person.
(iv) Utilize the Services to provide passwords or access codes to persons not authorized to receive such materials by the operator of the system requiring the password or access code.
(v) Utilize the Services to:
(A) forge the signature or other identifying mark or code of any other person,
(B) impersonate or assume the identity or any other person, or
(C) engage in any other activity (including "spoofing") to attempt to deceive or mislead other persons regarding the true identity of the User (excluding the use of anonymous remailer or Internet nicknames).
(vi) Utilize the Services to distribute or post any virus, worm, Trojan horse, or computer code intended to disrupt services, destroy data, destroy or damage equipment, or disrupt the operation of the Services.
(vii) Utilize the Services to conduct port scans or other invasive procedures against any server.
(viii) Utilize the Services to distribute, advertise or promote software or services that have the primary purpose of encouraging or facilitating unsolicited commercial e-mail or spam.
(ix) Utilize the Services to solicit or collect, or distribute, advertise or promote, e-mail address lists for the purpose of encouraging or facilitating unsolicited commercial e-mail or spam. (Proof of opt-in subscribers must be provided if any complaint is made).
(x) LoneStarStangs has restrictions on certain contents. Adult materials/Pornography, Nudity (pictorial, cultural, lifestyle, and any other type of nudity are not permitted). The uploading, storing, dispensing of Copyrighted materials such as, MP3s, games, and audio/video streaming are not permitted.
(xi) Utilize the Services in any other manner to interrupt or interfere with the Internet usage of other persons.
II) Violations
LoneStarStangs expressly disclaims any obligation to monitor its Members and other Users with respect to violations of this Policy.
LoneStarStangs has no liability or responsibility for the actions of any of its Members or other Users or any content any User may post on the Forum, or actions any Member/User may take part in outside of LoneStarStangs.
A. Reporting Non-Copyright Violations. LoneStarStangs encourages Members to report violations of this policy by e-mail to: [email protected], including in any such report, the name of the offending Member, and the type of abuse (i.e. spam, illegal acts, harassment, etc.) in the "subject" field of the e-mail.
B. Reporting Copyright Violations. LoneStarStangs complies with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act ("DMCA"). LoneStarStangs encourages Users to report an alleged copyright infringement involving a user by sending a notice to: [email protected]
C. If LoneStarStangs learns of a violation of this Policy, LoneStarStangs will respond to the Member and may, in LoneStarStangs sole discretion, take any of the following actions, in any order, and in accordance with the severity and duration of the violation:
(i) Warning the Member.
(ii) Suspending the offending Member from the Services.
(iii) Terminating the offending Member from the Services.
(iv) Imposing fees or charges on the offending Member account in accordance with any damages incurred.
(v) Removing the offending content.
(vi) Taking other action in accordance with this Policy, the applicable service contract or applicable law.
III) Reservation of Rights
LoneStarStangs reserves the right to cooperate with appropriate legal authorities in investigations of claims of illegal activity involving LoneStarStangs Services, Members and other Users.
LoneStarStangs reserves all other rights to respond to violations of this Policy to the extent of applicable law and in accordance with any applicable contractual obligations.
LoneStarStangs reserves the right to deny service to any member/user at anytime, and for any reason.
IV) Trademarks
If not otherwise indicated, all trademarks mentioned on the LonestarStangs website are brands protected by law. These brands are protected nationally and internationally and must neither be reproduced nor copied, changed or used in any other way without the express prior permission of LonestarStangs.
Any other company mentioned on this website such as or any examples of companies who have purchased our products or representing their own products, are registered trademarks of those respective companies, and are therefore protected under trademark laws.
V) Guarantee
Our website has been created with the greatest possible care. Even if we assume that the information provided by us is correct it may contain mistakes or inaccuracies. Therefore, we provide this information without any assurances or guarantees of any kind, either express or tacit. Also excluded are any tacit guarantees concerning the trading capabilities, suitability for certain purposes or the non-violation of laws and patents. The mission of LonestarStangs is to provide an entertaining, informative, progressive and socially conscience website, who opinions and views are meant to encourage positive behavior. The site further regards any illegal activity by its members as unacceptable and will not tolerated.
We feel that the enjoyment of our automobiles in a safe, legal and responsible manner can only benefit this site and its members. Therefor, any material dealing with "street racing" will be immediately deleted and the member responsible for its contents will be warned. Any further material posted by said member will result in a "ban" of that member by administration for a predetermined amount of time.
"Street Racing" will be defined as one or more motor vehicles involved in a competition of either time, speed or distance while in a public place and/or on a public roadway.
