98 should work I THINK... it's motor specific.. not car if i'm not mistaken....

It should fit back to 96. Mine is a 96 and it fit mine just perfect. But if you have a part # I can verify it.
The 040-MU-4020 fits 96-04 The 040-MU-3010 fits 79-93 The 040-MU-3020 will fit 79-93 with the 4.6 conversion. He is selling it with spring perches which is a steal at his asking price. You can see fitment pix in my engine thread if you want to see how it looks installed.

Sweet... do you know if the spring perches were drilled already? If not, you'll need to drill 4 holes for them, 2 each side.
