Thanks I've read the same thing about chambered mufflers thats why I was a little skeptical about putting on the x with my flows. But as of right now I'm gonna do it with out a doubt.

Just a note... it was a bit raspy but it still sounded nice. I knew right away it was a Mustang when I heard it...

I'm hoping to have my Borla Pro XS mufflers in soon with a Mac O/R Prochamber...

this is silly, anyone with it on their car is going to be in favor of it of course, and there will be others who dont like it and they wont speak up for fear of debating a stupid topic. Find a acr and listen to it. also some x pipes sound terrible with flows. i.e. BBK

Glad you liked it, sounded awesome on the way out of the shop. Too bad it was slick, you could have nailed it and opened it up to hear it.

Question

I've got a MAC O/R H-pipe with the Flowmaster catback, and I love the sound. I guess it's kinda raspy. I want to switch to an X-pipe after I get my longtubes, but I'm not sure. I've always heard X's flow better and H's stop at 3k rpm... Anyone else chime in?? Also anyone use prochambers??

that is not true about H pipes. I have seen x pipes show slight slight increas above 6K ropms though. I have a prochamber and its a great sound.

prochamber and bassani catback make a sick sound with heads and cam.

h pipe and flowmaster would be the opposite of what rasp is. That is not what they are refering to.

I know, I have had
h and flowmaster
h and spintech
prochamber and spintech
prochamber and stock mufflers.

my roomate had bbk x and flowmasters on his head cam fox.

Well I guess that's a good thing cuz I don't wanna sound raspy! I don't know...
Anyways, so is the prochamber sort of like an H? I'm only considering it because from all I've read MAC are the only compatible parts with CAM headers which I plan on getting. Are there ground clearance issues with the "chambered" portion? Thanks for the info.

^^ with any lowered car and additional exhaust, you are prone to clearance issues.

having good shocks with your lowering springs helps to prevent the sudden drop of the front and the banging of the LT collectors on speed bumps. I have H&R SS springs

Yeah, I know as I had a lot more issues before I upgraded my shocks and got new tires. I just meant are they prone to more issues due to decreased clearance, or does it sit the same as any other H or X pipe?

i have bbk lt's, o/r x pipe, and 1 chamber flows sounds too loud for my taste but thats how i got the car. a lot of people like it and think it sounds super bad ass but i think it sounds like shit. i would go for bassani full exhaust FTW (long tubes, x pipe, and full catback) you wont be dissapointed.

if not installed right either plays a role. Mine sits real low and it scraps, I just take speed bumps and dips at an angle.

I know what you mean about angles. I have to do that on most driveways. Not so much on speed bumps anymore. I don't get what you mean however about being installed right, how can it be installed incorrectly? Doesn't it only go in one way??
