Any body running........

Any body running a off road x pipe with flow masters?

Im asking because I have flow master already and wanting to install an x pipe. I have heard that the combination isnt a good choice because it will be to raspy? Is this true?

sound great on a 5 liter, used to have one long ago.

How about on a 05, just running axle back flowmasters? everything else stock?

I just installed a Bassani o/r X pipe on my '04 GT.I have Flows,I'm not sure which ones(original 40 or the super 40.) It sounds great, deep rumble @ idle, very raspy especially when you first start it in the morning.I bought the car 3 months ago and it already had the Flows installed.I believe they have had it,I get a tinny sounding vibration coming from under the car and its one of the mufflers,it must be worn out or blown out, plus my car is LOUD! Its the X pipe but also the mufflers.I ordered a Mac catback last night,I wanted something different than the Flows but keep that deep raspy sound.I love the sound of my car even w/ the blown out mufflers,go w/ the X,I'm sure you'll like it.

05+ with flows axle back sounds good, not to loud and not too much drone.

I was running UPR 2.5" diameter Xpipe with 2 chamber flows on my 99 and it sounded hell good. You can hear the rasp as soon as you tap past 2.5K RPM. The rasp wasn't too loud or annoying to me. I'd go for it. The only reason why I took off the off-road xpipe is because I have a 2 year old son who loves driving in the stang. The fumes and off-road sound isn't good for his little ears.

I prefer Spin Techs, have they have a nice deep tone, but when you get down in it, its sounds righteous.

I HAD a Basanni o/r x with flows, both dumped and tail piped and I liked the sound, but switched my mufflers with matching Basanni and I will never look back at flows again.

You can spot any car with flows out of a crowd.

But he said he's running a CATTED x pipe. An O/R X will sound much louder and raspier.

I've read alot of places to use h-pipe with chambered mufflers and x-pipe with straight through... well, I was out at my local hang out and a guy showed up with a 99 GT. It sounded nice. I stopped him and asked him what he had... he said he had a BBK O/R X and 2 chamber flows... It was one of the nicest sounding mustangs I've heard in a while.
