Yes I have done a few. So what are you trying to convert to EFI and how much of the efi parts do you have?

The car is still street driven, with a best of 10.21 at 131 mph with a 1.51 60' spinning lightly. With this combo it made a best of 460 hp and 410 lbs of torque at the wheels.

Hey whats going on? Alright here is the dirt...My 85 fox I am giving to my wife. Therefore I want/need to make it an injected ride. My 91 notch I am going to run a B&M roots blower. So I was going to use all the injected hardware and wiring for the freakin 85fox. Then take the 85 tank, blue pump, plumbing and install that in the 91. So basically flip flop the injected setup and carb'd setup between the cars. I never have done this before and was wondering how would the F.I. gastank harness and relays actually tie into the 85? And from the computer forward just be a plug and play deal(as far as unplugging from the 91 and mounting and installing it in the 85?) Again, any help is greatly appreciated. Oh, and the link that the first dude gave me.....thanks man...tons of good trash there. I was stoked at all the knowledge! Its already set as my freakin homepage!!!

Thanks gents,
Dale

It takes a little time to complete the swap, but it can look factory when done, Ford had been installing computers in the mustangs since '83 so there is a place to locate the computer in the normal location for starters. You will have to cut and splice some wires in multiple locations. It just takes time, you will need to swap the fuel lines, run the wiring for the pump, mount the computer, splice wires to the tach and ignition switch. I would also swap the exhaust from the '91, you will need O2 bungs in the exhaust, if you do that you will also need to swap the transmission cross member to a double hump cross member, they are not hard to get and are cheep. The fuel tank does not have to be swapped, but the pick up in the tank will, it would just as easy to swap the tanks. Also make sure you use a diode supressed starter solinoid, the '85 may have one on it, but did not need a diode supressed solinoid, the '91 should have one. With out it the computer will not work correctly, it sends a voltage spike to the computer when you release the ignition switch from the start posission after starting.
It will take time pulling everything needed from both cars and installing everything into the '85, mounting the componets, splicing the wires, but it does not take an engineer to do it.

Sorry I havent had any time to check back. As far as the fuel system, I was going to swap the injected tank and fuel line over to the 85. There has to be a factory wiring harness section for the tank elect pump and relays right? or would you recommend just running my own wires? The exhaust and crossmemeber have already been done. I had no idea about the diode suppressed starter solinoid. Thanks for that tip as well. And as far as spicing wires to the tach and iginition......where does this occur? under the hood or beneath the column? Thanks again...
