Both NTB and
goodyear sell 1, 3, 5yr alignments meaning you can get it done as much as you want within those time frame. With SA roads, it's worth it.

i just got a lifetime 4 wheel alignment (im sure if you only want 2 wheels they can do that too), balance, and rotation for 99 bucks. brake check is running a promotion right now. if you book onlne in an open time frame you can get 10-20% off of your total. i have used them on both of my stangs and have nothing but good things to say. and they are all over SA.

WOW a 4 whl alignment on a solid axle car. How they do that Ray??

Only person I would have recommended no longer works at a Car shop he does mtr cycles now.....

And no way Brake Check or Firestone will touch my car ever... B/C is the biggest rip off company in SA and Firestone is well Firestone...

NTB does OK and the 2.3.or lifetime is a good deal if you plan to keep your car.

within the years that I have had to send MANY cars out for alignment, I will say that Firestone sucks. You ALWAYS have to buy a cam bolt kit, and even then they still can't get it straight.

NTB is the only one that has ever done good alignments for us.

you do not adjust the rear of a solid axle car. you use the measurements you get from the rear to properly align the front of the vehicle.
After getting the alignment done the car drove just like it was brand new. It was pulling to the left before. they even printed out the spec sheet ot show the adjustments. I have never had any problems with Brake check and they take really good care of my car at a good price.

From what I read, the only thing you can really do on a SRA car is to have the thrust angle checked. I looked it up on TireRack.com and this is what they said.

"On a solid rear axle vehicle, this requires a thrust angle alignment that allows the technician to confirm that all four wheels are "square" with each other. Thrust angle alignments also identify vehicles that would "dog track" going down the road with the rear end offset from the front. If the thrust angle isn't zero on many solid rear axle vehicles, a trip to a frame straightening shop is required to return the rear axle to its original location."

Ray, which brake check did you go to? I agree with everyone, I hate Firestone and I don't trust brake check. I used to have a friend who did alignments, but he's no longer a mechanic, so that is why I am looking, and I just did my tie rod ends/ball joints, so I need it done soon. Maybe that particular brake check does good. The only other one I've seen here on the boards is a dude at Bluebonnet Ford in New Braunfels, I just don't want to waste the gas to go out there if I don't have to. Thanks for all the input so far everyone!

i went to the one on dezevala/1-10. I stayed there and watched them as they did it. The guy who did the alignment drove a sn95 gt. When he did the test drive he drove it slower than me lol. i dont think he went aboove 45 mph.

Also, just for some FYI. Our own Rambozotheclown works at the Brake Check on Austin Highway down by the intersection with N. New Braunfels.
