Any recommendations on GOOD Texas divorce lawyers?

I don't know if I'll need a lawyer for sure or not, but I may, and I need someone who knows their shit. Any GOOD recommendations?

Try to do a uncontested divorce. That's what I did and the Roush still sits in my garage

Sorry to hear your going thru this. If no kids are involved try to come to an agreement & have it drawn up by a lawyer it will be much cheeper in the end. The lawyers will drag it out for months & months & it will cost thousands & thousands. Is it truely worth spending thousands to get a hundred? A good lawyer in Guadalupe county is Greg Simmons, its my ex-wifes lawyer & he kicked my lawyer's ASS in court the last time we went. GOOD LUCK !!

Thanks for all the replies everyone. And yes, my objective is to have it done uncontested. However, as also stated, women are evil when it comes to divorces and it's a possibility that this could get a little ugly.

90gt, thanks, I will keep that name in mind. Nothing would piss me off more than for her to get more out of me than she has. BTW, there's no relation to the sportscaster Greg Simmons from KSAT, is there? Because that Greg Simmons doesnt like me.

Again make a determination of what your willing to loose going in without a lawyer. Dont offer her everything right up front but try to negotiate her to an agreement. Make her aware just hiring a DECENT lawyer will cost each one of you at least $1000.00 - $2,000.00 each to get started & this is if there is no child custody battle. A very good friend of mine is going thru this now & they have no chittlins. Hes keeping the race car but its costing him his daily driver. Its a give & take. If you guys can draw up an agreement Ive been told you can do the forms off the internet but to be safe I would spend a couple hundred bucks & hire a neutral lawyer. Again GOOD LUCK !!

None known that I know of. He is a very aggressive lawyer in court.

One GREAT lawyer I know is Larry Bruner, he is a professor of mine at UTSA. The number to his law office is 210-614-8525 X108.

I know another if he has to many cases but not sure if he does divorces.

If your car was your car b4 marriage it is not an issue same for house or any other property.
If it was bought when married the wife has an = chance of getting it.
If you havent filed put the car in another family members name NOW and you may be in the clear there.

Good luck been there done that twice twice.
