Anyone go to Temple Academy Dragway

I went to the track for the first time 2 weeks ago at Temple Academy and was curious if anyone else ever went up to that track. If so let me know and maybe we can head up one weekend.

I heard the track has a new owner. It definitely needs to be redone. The speedbump at about 70 ft in the left lane is a killer. I drove past there on my way to Waco, this past weekend. Looked like they had a lot of cars.

Yeah the track is under new ownership and from the sounds of it they are doing a lot to improve the track out there. It seemed like it was good to go when i was out there but i'm not 100% because i did not run my car on it. The night i went it was packed though so it seems like its doing alright out there. Yeah i hear you about being over there in Iraq. never was in the military but my dad was a marine for 22 years so i have a lot of respect for what you are over there doing. i would definetly be down to hit up the track with you when you return.

Last time I raced there (near x-mas '01) it was horriable. No granted it was 30* outside and all. But the end of the track lighting sucked! Not to meantion the lanes did seem a little narrow.

So anyone race there recently know if it's improved any? I'm more use to San Antonio Raceway out in Marion or Ennis.
