Anyone goin to the track Wed. 12/17...?

I'm goin to leave lubbock tuesday morning and head down to SA, I'll prolly stay there with my sister for a couple days. I wanted to know if anyone was gonna head out to the track on Wednesday? Also which track is better SAR or Alamo??? and how long would it take to get to each??? I'll be comin from I-10 and Wurzback. :cool3:

What do ya'll think my bone stock six would run

Edit: I won't need a helmet or anything... and how much does each place cost???

It is 15 dollars to run. SAR is MUCH better than alamo. You don't need a helmet unless your running in the 13's.

bone stock 03 v6 5spd? you might be able to squeeze out a 15.5@88ish (like Machine6 did on his first night at the track with his 03 v6 5spd)

but don't be suprised if you end the night with a 15.7 or so... your first night at the track will most likely be your worst. just a matter of getting used to the track conditions. :jeff:

I think it closes on the Wed before Christmas and opens up sometime in the week after New Years. But I'm not 100% sure.

or you could run 14.9 at low 90s if you can drive. might figure out the launch after a few passes. the DA will be bad ass and the DA will be badass again

wow... you know, that really narrows it down.

how's 'bout this... when you can take a stock 99+ v6 5spd (stock tires and everything) and break into the 14's, then you can talk. till then, stfu

ask brian, he took my stang for a couple passes down the track when i had it out there the first time. after about 2 or 3 passes, he comes back, gets out of the car and hands me the keys saying... "thanks, you just gave me my worst 60' time EVAR!" but then again... who's to say that brian is a good driver?

it takes more than 2 or 3 passes to learn a car.

he did do it on stock tires in a stock stang

dont get mad at me cause he did something no on on this board has accomplished

IT CAN BE DONE

that is the whole point. relax

sure... i guess it CAN be done, but it is very difficult.

kinda like... how many 99+ GT 5spd owners do you know that ran 13.7 with a 2.0 60' when it was stock? probably not very many, brian didn't even do it though he came very close.

but just because 5.0&SF or MM&FF said they did it, should i go labeling every GT owner that isn't "up to par" as a "bad driver"

Id say a good 95 percent of mustang owners, at least, "cant drive"

as in drag racing is not their thing.

werd. you gotta admit that when you go to SAR you'll see just as many stock 99+ GT's running mid to high 14's as you see stock 99+ V6's running mid to high 15's.

done. i just don't want this guy (WestField331) going out to the track for his first time and being very disappointed when he runs a 15.7

his question was, "What do ya'll think my bone stock six would run" not, "what is the fastest time ever recorded for a bone stock six"

I know.. caus no one can drive... and it gives all the ricers the fuel to say "all the GTs around here run high 14s"

well thats because they are seeing other kids who cant drive.

I ran pretty crappy my first times on street tires with the new setup..... I was running 14.1s and 2s at 100 cause my cars tune was whack and I didnt know how to launch worth a crap.

I bought et streets, ran on them for a while. they wore out. I went back on street tires expecting to run crappy again and havent pulled worse than a 2.1 on them since. that was on phantom ZRXs

once you learn your cars spot, stay there... make a few practice launches to learn the sweet spoit between bog and spin and what gives you the best 60
