anyone know about fuel filters

having a problem getting fuel threw, it sounds when i try to turn it on not enough fuel goes in to keep it on? i think its the filter...anyone know what else it could be. but money is on the filter

How many miles on the current one. I change mine at around 15-20K

It could be many things but if you think it is the filter, just replace it....there cheap. Also they flow only in one direction, dont install it backwards.

If thats dosent fix it you may want to check your fuel pressure to aid you in diagnosing the problem.

could also be the rubber hose on the fuel pump that connects to the sending unit....had one tear on me and the car would barely stay on. It was the last place I looked

Do you really need those. I thought it was just two plastic clips that connect the lines and fuel filter.....

you do need the disconnect tool for the stang, and have any codes been thrown on the car?

Like Hoss said, they are incredibly cheap and easy to replace, so start by doing that.
