Traction control didn't cause your wheel hop Ray... That's from shitty stock upper and lower control arms. Upgrade those and it'll be all gone. TCS shuts off spark or fuel, can't remember which one...

once i turned it off, i was able to get out of the line much better. Out of the 5 runs i had it off 2 times. The 2 times with it off my runs were in the 13s. the 3 times with it on i couldnt get off the line and all the times were in the 14s. when you spin the tires with the tcs on it locks up the wheel that is spinning. I was reading about it a couple weeks ago i just need to find the website. Some new crappy change they did with the s197s. I hate it

Not calling you a liar Ray, but locking up the wheels when traction is lost is not the best way to regain traction. Say you were on a wet road and started hydroplaning, the computer senses that you loose traction and decides to lock the back tire??? That's not going to help at all... I'm pretty positive that it cuts power output from the engine to stop the driver from "overpowering" the tires and stop spinning, either through spark or fuel cut off.

When/if you get your car tuned, and not just a canned plug and play tune but a true dyno tune, you can have it permantly dissabled through the tuner. I had mine turned off and that remedies that problem for good.

if you do that can you turn it on by hand??? Is there any other way to do it through the either one the handheld tuners (diablo or sct) or is dyno tune the ONLY way?

Nope. If you turn it off with the tuner the only way to get it to come back on with be with the tuner again. But, if you have a handheld tuner it doesn't take too long.

thanks. that sucks. i want a way so it will default off when the car is turned on, but if i wanna to use it i can hit the button after the car is on. Kinda visa versa the way it is right now.

Just do what I do. Get used to push that button every time you start the car. I have a SCT Tuner and I never turn off my TC.
