AOD leaks from the tail housing or rear pan, what could it be?

What's wrong with the AOD? It leaks alot form the tail housing or pan just above the crossmember. I still have 1-4 gears (until the fluid is all gone then I refill but it leaks bad about a quart a block at 30mph). I had it rebuilt 4500 miles ago. What could be forcing fluid from the rear pan or tail housing?

Is it coming from the tail housing gasket?

I don't think so since I tightened some of the rear pan bolts the leak slowed down by 50%. The bolts were already torqued down to spec. I'm pushing my luck going any tighter.

The cork gasket may be split.I'd try a new gasket.Or take it back if there is some sort of warranty on it.

Mine was leaking pretty bad a few months ago. Hoss and I ( Well hoss, while I watched cuz my fatass wouldnt fit under the slightly jacked up car) changed my trans output shaft seal and it fixed the problem.
