Apple Store FTW

As much as I talk shit about apple, they have great customer service. We went in so they could check out my chicks Iphone, and they just straight up gave her a new one. And the computers arent to shabby, a bit to simplified for my taste, but pretty quick. We went to the one in north star btw. Once again, GREAT customer service, very friendly people.

really wow thats actually the first time ive heard that...the store at la cantera has a bad reputation for customer service...i hear a lot of people walk out feeling stupid and they tell people they cant help them even if its under their return policy or they get ignored even when they stand next to people. weird i thought but when i heard it enough i just didnt even want to go in there. of course its a different store so different crew too...

+1...windows only has problems if you dont protect it and with Vista it makes it so much easier. I have had vista since it came out and have had zero problems with virus, spyware, etc. runs just as fast the day i bought it. i tried the whole mac thing but it was so much of a hassle to get a couple of windows programs to run on it smoothly that our techs said forget it. LMAO

on another note i have always received great customer service with Apple store in lacantera even with as much as i hate apple, but i have also gotten the same great service with windows products in sony style

Because I can't use what I need to use it for, Vb6 doesn't work on Mac.

Not to mention *most* mac owners are fanatics/preachy

90% of current Mac buyers are switchers from another company. They preach because they know how blind you currently are.

All software will run on the mac, including the one you mentioned. If it isn't developed for Mac OS X, then you can install it through Windows on a mac. Being multi-platform, a Mac can run OSX and Windows XP or Vista.

i have had a couple of programs my job uses that would not run the macbook i bought. my it department tried alot of different thing inlcuding bootcamp, and other programs that are suppose to run 100% of window programs and they couldnt get it to work 100% correct. it would crash and run reaslly slloooowwwww. one of the guys that tied it was a mac follower...i think macs are great for pics, movies, and entertainment but just not for getting all the work done. thats just my experience and opinion, and i know other think other wise

thats exactly what pcs are for.. gaming and pencil pushers... macs do all the multi-media stuff..thats what they re geared for. But i will say this, my macbook has done WONDERS for school work. im into PC building now(iv done 5 since building my own) but i will NEVER buy a pc froma company ever again. atleast with mac u get what u pay for; a reliable, well built, ahead of the curve machine.

Well it runs Windows natively through boot camp, so I don't understand why you couldn't get it to work. Maybe you needed some onsite support, because if it runs on Windows, it will run. When you are installing windows on a mac, it's just that windows; so if something isn't running, something is set up incorrectly, because it's on a regular pc.
