appts, jobs

hey all.. my lease is up in a few months (end of the year to be exact) and i'm looking for something different... so i figured, i had so much fun this past weekend, why not move down there to san antonio..... so step one is to figure out if i can do it.. obviously i'm ognna need an appt. and a job.. i have lube tech experience, tire tech experience, and lots of retail experience.. are there lots of jobs available around that north san antonio area? what about appartments? how much does a cheap apartment (i'm not talkin' projects.. but i dont need diamond studded door knobs either ya know..) run down there? either 1 bedroom, or 2 bedroom if i can find a room mate.. let me know what you guys know.. this is just the first thought i had today

is that a pretty good price for that area? here they're less, but that's 'cause we're not in a big city.. so i know things are way diff. price wise on everything..

yes thats a really good price anywhere in the north part of SA, and its the best price around here for the type of apartment it is, its really nice more luxurious. fireplace, bar, washer and dryer, dishwasher, all the goodies. and its a gated community

there's a ton of discount tire's around town...and some NTB's and what not also. Discount seems to be a decent place to work. I would budget $500/month at the least for a one bedroom.

yea i'm very pleased w/ appartment prices.. and now that i dont have a car payment, it should be rather easy to budget an appartment there on almost any budget.... hell, i only have like $300 in bills per month now.. it's nce.. and i'm not afraid to work 2 jobs either... so i should be set as longa s i can find a job right around the beginning of the year.. that'll be the only hard part

Are these the ones off of USAA Blvd? If so, not to scare you or anything, but PLEASE be sure you have an alarm on your car. I used to live there and had my stang broken into. They were trying to steal the rims. It only happened once, and nothing else happened there. But just trying to look out for a fellow stanger.
