I'd almost be willing to bet that the holes are there.Crawl under the car and look. They should be near the factory exhaust brackets.

Change always makes Sense (or Cents)

really on the trunk wall divider it just needs to be a piece of sheet metal to block the gas from splashing inside the car if you are rearended and the tank ruptures. Replace the cardboard liner with some aluminum sheet.
My 65 does not have any bolt holes for rear seat belts. I looked right now. What I would do it drill holes through the floor and on the underside of the floor weld a large washer (to spread out the load on the sheet metal) and a nut that fits the seatbelt bolt. Maybe you don't have to weld it, but use a lock washer and maybe some locktite you don't want it to come lose. Of course to tighten the bolt it will take two people. Also while adding seat belts, some car seats have a top strap to help stabilize the seat. Most new cars have the place to hook this, so maybe add a eye bolt to your rear deck to hook this too. well this is only when the seat if facing forward, so it can wait a while.

Ryan,
Ill look today for the belts. Also if ya want to come by Ill help ya install um (holes or not no big deal) also the tfunk plate can be fabbed out of some sheetmetal I can help ya witht hat as well. Trust me the belts are as good or better than automotive belts and they will bolt in to the stock locations if they are there or if not we will drill holes it is not that hard.

Ryan, honey! Let Don help you out with it .... we can do it for little of nothin'! With you being shipped off to Basic Training in a little while, you really shouldn't dump lots of money into your ride. Things will be tight enough without spending extra money you don't need to!!!
I'll PM you our numbers. We'll be in/out on Sunday. And if not, we are around every evening at his house for a while before we head to my house for the night ....

But thats my first concern is the seatbeats. We got a lot of washers and bolts here, so I'll go look through them and find some good ones. |
