    bbk throttle intake question

im looking into buying bbk's 78mm throttle intake. the questions i have are...
will the car still pass inspection
will i need to reprogram to keep from throwing codes
and what would be the best cia for the application.
i know its a bit over kill right now but i will need it later this summer when i change the heads and cam. your opinions will be greatly appreciated

Most people will tell you not to go that large. I know another member on here installed one not too long ago, but can't remember his screen name. Might wanna do a search. Yes, you will still pass inspection. You shouldn't have to reprogram, but it is possible you may get some lean codes or IAC codes. When you install, make sure to disconnect the battery for about 30 min. so the computer will reset, and hopefully you won't throw any codes. CAI is up to you, again most people argue that it's not needed and a waste of money but JLT seems to be the favorite on this site. You can check my signature to see what I'm running. I've only been on 2 dynos and with my current tune, it puts down about 50-60+ rwhp over stock. That's about the max you'll get out of bolt ons, but the heads and cams would be a nice addition. That would already be done on mine if I had the money, but that department is lacking much! Good luck.

There are a few individuals on here that have done the cam work themselves, but I myself would have a shop do it if I ever get to that stage, and there are plenty of sponsors on here that would be glad to do it for you.
