Please join us for a day at the park. Come out and enjoy some BBQ and talk about Mustangs.

Members old and new are welcome, and we encourage any new members to stop by and take advantage of this opportunity to meet your fellow LSSers!!

Food will be ready around 12:00 Noon. If you plan on eating, please bring some cash to pitch in. (5-10 bucks is more than enough)

Soda and Water will be provided.

This park has several play areas for those who want to bring their kids and there is also plenty of open areas to play bocce ball, throw a football/frisbee.

LSS Decals and T-shirts will be available for sale.

Well after the unexpected Burn-ban nixed our plans to BBQ at the last meet at Eisenhower park, I will be checking on Pickrell Park to make sure we can BBQ out there.

So who is game for this event?

We had a bunch of member bring their kids out to the last BBQ at Eisenhower Park... This BBQ at Pickrell Park will be much more enjoyable for the kids because there are a bunch of play areas with slides and swings and such... and plenty of open areas for them to run around.

So lets hear it... who's comin' with me?

pickrell park is only about 2 miles from my house. I live off savannah dr and schertz parkway. you guys planning on hoopin out there?

Oh yeah... I forgot they even have several basketball courts under a covered area.

I don't see why we couldn't put together a nice b-ball game.

I would double check on the basketball situation. Me and a bunch of friends used to go play out there, but last we heard, they took down the baskets because people kept damaging them dunking and crap. It was nice because it's covered and lighted... instead we have to play at LBJ which isn't covered or lighted. Either way, I may attend... not sure of plans yet.

We took the kids out to play there a week or so ago and I remember seeing people playing on the courts. I'll swing by there and double check though.

I will be there. And i will take my car this time. I am only 10 minutes from there anyways. If you have never been there it is a very large park, and very kid freindly.

ill be there, i go by there everyday to go to my old lady's house. MYSRT8U, where do you live on savannah, my gf lives on fawn pass, i go down there almost every day. Do you by chance have a really loud fox body, or do you live further down towards 1518, cuz i saw 2 really nice mustangs down there 2 lol

Did you actually get down and see if the hoops are up though? The posts are in the ground so they're not going anywhere, but I was told the hoops were taken down due to people dunking on them, they kept sliding down the pole or something.

Haha, pictures aren't necessary, just relaying what I was told. They said they were attached with some clamps kinda like exhaust clamps and that they were just sliding down the pole or something like that.
