Be careful, guys!

A couple hours ago, I saw a man on a motorcycle get crushed under an 18-wheeler just a few feet from my window. I won't go into what happened, but he didn't need to die. It's too bad - he looked to be relatively young.

To those of you that ride, chill out and take it easy. In fact, that advice could apply to all of us.

Stay safe!

I know most of the time people don't deserve to die, but assuming this is the same story I saw on the news about an hour ago... he brought it upon himself. They said all the witnesses said he was driving recklessly swerving through traffic and riding the center stripe which is illegal to begin with. You make stupid decisions... bad things are going to happen. It's sad, but some people think they're invincible and obviously they're not. I know it's gotta be traumatic to witness that... but this is just my opinion.

Myself and the other witnesses did not speak to the news crews. I told them that I preferred not to comment. I wonder who they spoke to... I would be surprised if the police said anything to them this early.

I'm pretty sure it was on KSAT and they said this guy was 28. Would be extreme coincidence if it was someone else dieing the same way but it was on at 12pm. This is from their website:

Wowf!! I hate to see stuff like that. I sat on 281 South yesterday for over an hour...never did find out what happened but some kind of mustang either flew off the Sonterra ramp to land on 1604 or they slid from the Walmart parking lot because there were blood and guts spread across the highway when Cam and I were driving by and the mustang had been laying on its roof completely crushed. It really upset me to see what had happened, so I can only imagine what is going through your mind right now.

Reckless driving or not, seeing someone die is a tragedy!!

This is actually the third motorcycle death I've seen. I'd say that it's not exactly pleasant, but it's not all that traumatic either.

The 18-wheeler that ran over the man had the truck driver's daughter in it for a ride-along. I'd be the most worried about that little girl.

to me, it seems like they are making it more of the trucks fault, and didnt really say the motorcycle rider was riding irradically, dangerously or anything else - just that he drove between lanes. however, they say the truck driver ran him over and there was not much the driver could do to avoid the motorcycle. ehh - sucks to hear, but when you play with fire, eventually you will get burned.

sorry you had to go through this, chips.

It wasn't the truck driver's fault at all.

Hopefully he won't blame himself.
