beat a cobra

Went to alamo on wed. night...it was a good nigh to race...anyway, had a guy w/ a Cobra call me out, guess he figured my mach was slow since i was an auto...all stock. We ran 3 times, first time i red lighted, second time he red lighted. The third time we both took off at green, i pulled him at the line was ahead of him the whole time, but it was a close good run...he ran a 13.6 i ran a 13.5...awesome race....he didn't talk to me after that..

Good kill man, what year cobra was it?

also you should try runnin at SAR(San Antonio Raceway),
Alamo is natorious(sp) for giving wack-ass times as far as 1/4 mile goes cause the up-keep on the track isn't very good.
13.5 sounds about right for your car though.

you should try racing me some time
i'll even give you the jump off the line

alamo has one of the trap radars out...... a normal track has to radars at the end... 120 feet apart or some small distance. your trap speed is actually an average speed of your car over that distance.

one of the lanes at alamo is said to be missing a radar and just goes off the last radar, so you trap what your car is at when you actually cross the line.

I think little animals go out there and move the beam every night.
Let's not forget the downhill starting line...the dip at the 1/8th mile, the lack of lights at the end of the track and the wonderful gravel-paved pits.
