    Best DD street tire?

I am thinking about switching to 20's because my new shocks/struts raised the car bit even with the lowering springs.

Wondering what the best DD tire is? I am thinking Nitto NT555's, but wondering if the NT05 are streetable and wont' run me off the road in the rain.

I've run both (in 18's) on the Lightning and I will never buy a second set of 555s. The 555s suck IMO and are pretty close to the worst tire I've ever run. The NT05's are awesome very drivable in the rain, even with the Lightning torque.

With those two tires I would go with the 555s if you dont plan to race. If you plan to hit the track the nt05s will own.

Fathom the odd hypocrisy that Obama wants every citizen to prove they are insured, but people don't have to prove they are citizens.

If you voted for Obama in 2008 to prove you weren’t a racist, you’d better vote for someone else in 2012 to prove you’re not an idiot.

The Navy SEALS removed one Muslim threat to America ...
It's up to the voters to remove the other!

The NT05 is NOT a track tire, it's a street tire.
    Performance Rating: W
    UTQG Treadwear: 200
    Traction: AA
    Temperature: A

    NT555
    Performance Rating: W
    UTQG Treadwear: 300
    Traction: A
    Temperature: A

The NT05R is the drag radial.
NT01 is the Road Race tire (run these on the Cobra and dry traction/handling is superb)

I've been very, very impressed with the NT05s. I was leery about getting Nittos again after the crappy 555s. I had to DD the truck a few weeks ago when it was raining every day and I was amazed at how well it did.

If your not going to race tho, you dont need the nt05s A 300 treadwear tire is plenty enough for a GT daily driver..

Its a different story when your driving 2 supercharged vehicles.

Whereas, I've had great ride, wear, handling and wet / dry traction with the 555's on my Lightning - have run several other brands on it and the 555's have been the best of all. When these go out, then I will definitely be looking at the NT05's though - heard nothing but good things about them.
