best times for sn95 4v Cobra needed
This is really just for Texas cars, but I need to know what some of your best times are with the 4v sn95 Cobras. The reason I'm asking is that I'm seeing on other forums mid to high 12sec 4v with nothing other that DRs/or Slicks, and boltons. I'm wondering if Texas just has the worst air, or if these other forums are BS. also HP #s will help too.

honestly, mid-high 12's should be fairly easy with a 96-98 4v. slicks, gears and even minor bolt on's should get you there. some people have gone 11's on stock longblock 4v's.
what are your mods? weight? and DA when you ran your best time?

that's what I've been hearing. first I'll say that I'm trying to get streetable #s. I want to be low 12s on street tires. when I last ran the car weighed 3700 with me in it and a full tank and all the crap in the car (daily scenario). with a 1.90 60ft launching basically off idle (don't want to break it), I ran a 12.89 @ 109. my T-lok crapped out after 2 runs so I made a total of 5 that day most spinning pretty hard because only 1 tire at a time was hooking. they were switching left to right. I don't want to run slicks or even DRs because that's not what I run on the street. at the wheels the car is making only 355hp and 360tq because my car can't handle any more timing. basically the only performance mods are KB 1.5, and Bassani catted X, Hooker mufflers, and 4.10s. I know the car should be making more power but this is a small displacement blower generating high IATs and the timing is way retarded. water meth in about a month. I'll also add that these Saleen wheels I put on are heavy as sh*t and really bog it down compared to my old Cobra Rs. I know I can launch the car harder but again my T-lok was out and I couldn't get any traction before.

12.89 @ 109 is nothing to be ashamed of on street tires. Its such a huge difference between true street tires and slicks you cannot even begin to compare times. There's also going to be diminishing returns the more power you put into it. You can get some time taking some weight off, but you're sittin pretty good the way it is. 03 cobras need to make around 450 rwhp to run 11's on street tires and at that point you need perfect weather and track prep.

your car runs like a stock 03 cobra.... you have about 10 less hp and you are a little lighter
pretty normal for your setup there are alot of factors that could get you closer to 120 mph and 11s... blower, tires, weight
