Thanks I appreciate it.

Sorry took so long on the video, been a busy weekend. It's from a camera so the quality isn't the greatest but it's better than nothing. Also the slicks were just mounted with no screws so im sure if we screw them down and run on a better track prep there is more potential in the 60ft. From the vid it doesnt look like a 1.29 imo. Guess we'll see how things go next time, hopefully the weather's about the same and we can get some more out of it.

coungradulations on a nice build and project car. about how long did it take to get to where you are? i have a 89 gt that im going to make my project car. its a full bolt on 302 with stock heads an E cam and a cobra intake. i also have the bottle hooked up. im thinking about tearing her apart and rebuilding it with some gt40 heads. but im on 21 and money is tight because i have another 05 stang im still paying on. but very nice build man congradulations.

LOL he fixed that.

Well it's been about 5-6 months since the last update. In that time Travis made the switch to the glide which turned out to be the answer he was looking for. After finally finding a guy to rebuild the transmission he had the car back and ready. Same tuneup we went 8.72 @ 153 with. Track was crap it was a wednesday night and there was no surface at all. Tried to use the 2 step and smoked the tires.... Next pass took the 2 step out and clicked this off.....

60ft.........1.25
1/8et.......5.43
1/8mp......127
1/4et........8.58
1/4mph....150

Turns out she was out of gear and Pj lifted early as she was on the rev limiter. Not to bad for a little 302 based nitrous motor with some out of the box heads and a victor jr intake. It was Pj's first 8sec pass and made it look easy.....normally he just does burnouts in the street with no windows or doors LOL. So not bad the switch from the c4 to glide netted about .15 difference in et with everything else the same. Definatly should of been done long ago. PTC did a killer job on the converter and their service has been outstanding.

Dropped the gear and tried to get some more rpm out of it but I think the gear we had was just right. It was bike night and there was hardly any cars out but we got our best 60ft ever as we got the 2step to work for the first time. Remind you this is with no 7531, no progressive and no bars.

60ft.......1.20
1/8.......5.46
1/8........125
1/4.......8.60
1/4........no mph shown ???

Now it's time for a little change The AFR 205s and Victor Jr intake are for sale as well as the Kooks Stainless headers if anyone's interested. Hit me up

Dont have a vid of the 8.58 pass yet....here's the 8.72 one.

It's time for Surgery....now the fun begins.

Travis and his dad Bob getting her tore down. Bob may be a killer as a GM during the day at work but he's definatly not scared to get his hands dirty workin on the car. Thanks for everything Bob.

Travis got a new tow ring in the meantime.

Now it's time to get busy!! Went with Travis and his dad Bob to pick up the new toy yesterday, definatly like Christmas in June. Thanks goes to John for the build and all the help he's done, also nice to have an engine builder get your stuff out on time.

Now we gotta start mocking all the accessories up and get ready to seal it all up. Seems like their isn't much but i'm sure there's a million little things we gotta do or change, there always is. Still gotta a couple things up our sleeve but I'll post those pics once done.

Only pain in the ass so far. Going to need some new valve covers!

Well she's finally back hoppin and poppin....literally!! It's been 4 months in the making but the jyd coupe is back alive. It's been hectic but it's finally nearing completion, and saturday was the culmination of it all. After deliberating for about 30 mins about what's left and what are we missing Travis finally made the call......it was time. Fired up on the first hit and that 3/4 RV cam was thumpin. Congrats to Travis and his dad Bob for the getting it back together. They want to thank those that helped in this project including Duane Busch, Sam Vincent and John Monn for putting this killer little piece together.

Now she's off to the chassis shop to get squared up and hopefully back in time for Texas Heatwave. After that their's a couple little things to change but then she should be ready.

Debut coming soon........

I know we're forgetting something....right?? Nope...yeah we are...your right we are, START!!!

First outing was last weekend and we had to make an extra effort to get out their. Had been working on car all week and at 3pm on saturday car was running great idleing and then just dies. Finally figured it out at 9:30 when everybody had already left for Midnight Madness, of course it was a damn fuse. Needless to say that 1 motor pass was a turd. And we found out just how tight the converter was. As in 1.8 60ft, LOL

Fast forward a week and we're busting our tails to get it out their. Find out that the car only has 11.5 volts and it's not charging?? So 2 alternators later, alternator testing, battery testing, new battery we come to find out that alternator is not ground Boom fix that and we're all ready to load up for th Atomic Dog Big Grudge Race in San Antonio. Needless to say Travis isn't going out their to run it on motor so our "2nd" trip down the track is going to be on the bottle. That's what the car is setup for and their's no time to be #####footing around on the motor.

Well it's hot as hell out their and I mean hot. Temp was around 107 NOT counting the humidity:eeek: I will say that the converter it still too tight even for the baby shot we have in it as you will see. This sucker is setup for a healthy dose of spray.... Given the track conditions, converter, amount of spray, and tuneup we had I'd say it feel pretty damn good to be back in the 8's on the 2nd pass on a new motor in this hell ass weather. Not to mention the 60ft is off a TENTH alone from the nitrous converter....she's just going to need some bigger pills and she'll really shine.

Enjoy...

Getting the cars loaded up and ready to go
