Brake Warning Light - '87 GT

Recently purchased the vehicle and the brake warning light constantly stays illuminated. If you work the hand brake, the light will go on and off, so I'm guessing it is just the contact that needs to be cleaned.

Other things I have made note to check are the brake fluid levels and the brakes themselves. The previous owner said he recently replaced the brakes and they appear to be working fine.

Anything else that you guys can think of to check? Anyone know how to get at the sensor/contact for the hand brake?

Ill bet it is the switch.
Also ck the brake light switch under the dash on the brake pedal.
The switch for the e brake should be under the console by the handle
