Then I had Lethal Performance add 42# FRPP injectors, Snow Water/Methanol injection, up the boost, and re-tune. Changed the Accel coils to MSD. I also added as of recent a Spec Stg2+ clutch, FRPP Aluminum Flywheel, and FRPP Quadrant. ( I DID NOT use the UPR stuff in the pic. SUCKED)

Recently I ordered H&R springs and CC plates for the car. One week later the #8 cylinder lost 80% compression. Now the motor is going to MMR to get built. Here is the car with it's engine removed.

And this is the engine.

The engine rebuild will consist of MMR's 900hp kit reusing my Aluminum block and stock forged crank.
MMR's shortblock parts consist of:

New 4340 5.933 Manley H-beam Rods w/ARP rod bolts ( These US made rods are shotpeened, magnafluxed and weight matched to bring you the finest H-beam rod available for your 4.6)

MMR Cryo-Treated oil pump

*New Forged Manley pistons 3.552 Bore size (High or low compression)

*Speed Pro file fit rings (precision file fit to your application, nitrous, blower, turbo or N/A)

*Speed Pro/Federal Mogul or Clevite Tri-metal Rod and ACL Performance Main bearings

*Complete Pro Assembly and Balancing for the smoothest, highest revving shortblock available,Pre-Lubricated with Royal Purple Assembly Lube and spin tested. Lastly 3 technicians sign off on your new engine prior to packaging and crating.

Compression ratio is going to be 9.5:1 with the 18cc pistons. Heads are going to get the Stg 3 P&P treatment. The heads will be rebuilt using New Ford Lifters, ARP Headstuds, MMR SS Valves, Comp Springs, MMR custom grind Stg 2 Comp blower cams.

Valves:
This MMR kit includes 16 Intake and 16 Exhaust valves made of Premium US made Stainless steel, swirl polished and undercut for higher flow. Compatible with all valve locks and retainers including stock. Also increases valve clearance due to smaller valve margin (approx. .020 smaller)

*Update* BBK ceramic coated LTs are on the way with an Accufab "Special 550hp+" TB, Aeromotive Fuel Pressure regulator, ATI harmonic balancer

Cam Specs are :
(Intake)
Gross Valve Lift .475
Cam Lobe Lift .263
Adv. Dur. @ .006 Valve Lift 266
Valve Timing @ .050 1 BTDC 49 ABDC
Cam installed @ 114.0 Center Line
Duration @ .050: 230

(Exhaust)
Gross Valve Lift .450
Cam Lobe Lift .251
Adv. Dur. @ .006 Valve Lift 268
Valve Timing @ .050 54 BTDC 2- ATDC
Cam installed @ 118.0 Center Line
Duration @ .050: 232

**NEW UPDATE** Installation Pics

Stage 3 MMR P&P heads

Engine is in!!!

This is the IAT relocation Mod

Accufab 550+hp Special Throttle body

Well I never got to get them installed The Friday that they came in is when I had the motor issue. To be honest, I don't know which ones they are. I got whichever ones Danny at Lethal has on his Termi. They are the Sports I think. I'll have to wait a few weeks until I can see how well they work. I've heard they are superb springs though.

Looks awesome. While the motor is out, you should clean up the engine bay and powdercoat the valve covers. The saleens look great on that car

Thanks! I will probably be cleaning it out since I am so anal about this car. What color would you suggest for the valve covers? I'm not sure if that'll happen immediately though since they are on the way to Cali on the longblock.

The Satin Black the '03 Mach 1's had is awesome. Will those along with the Powered By Ford coil covers fit the '96-'98 DOHC's?

I was wondering about that myself. MMR has some nice COP covers that say "Supercharged".

I'm going to have MMR do some head porting & polishing. with my mods already listed, what would some of you recommend? Stg1-3 I'm thinking stg 3 but I don't know if it's overkill on a boosted motor.

alot I don't mean to be so quiet about the cost but I don't want to talk too much about my $ investment. I will say that the port options are Stg1-3 $650/$750/$850

Its was tired. No holes in the piston or anything like that. This car was allready put together way before we got a hold of it. His setup is going to be badass. We are getting rubbermaid heavy duty bins for each car labeled. And a storage container because we dont have enuff room to store all the parts right now. Too many cars! Not a bad problem to have but we need to be more organized.

no we didn't get that far into it. They didn't break it down, I just decided to get the motor done. It probably had something to do with 10lbs of boost on a 100k motor The blower was installed at about 90k with 7lbs and had problems ever since with detonation. I got those issues fixed and upped the boost to 10. I was just starting to get some blow by. Regular driving you couldn't tell the car had an issue. Just under extended periods of boost it would push the oil out of the valve covers.

I don't mind the storage trunk. It keeps it all organized. there was lots of plastic under all those parts.

is there something you might have an idea of? i would assume it to be a cracked ring. any thoughts please let me know. I'm dumping a decent amount of money into this car and I'd like to cover all of my bases. Like JM said I'm hoping it was just a tired motor. I've heard that the non-forged mod bottom ends don't hold long with 10lbs + of boost. I'm just glad I didn't window the block. My little Cobra let me know peacefully that it was having a problem.

One thing though. remember it did have that lifter tick. it had that tick at 50k under an extended warranty and Northside "could not verify the concern". Maybe the valve wasn't holding pressure. I don't know. we'll see.
