Dont buy a steel CAI like BBK or MAC, they are cheap and the steel holds heat. Go with C&L, JLT or K&N. They may cost you a little more but they are better than the cheaper ones because they use aluminum or hard plastic material that doesnt get hot like steel.. I would look in eBay. Buy from someone out of state and there is no tax and shipping is free or really low sometime.

Coming to a 17" rim near you
|
if your looking to get all the 2 rwhp that a cold air can offer.. get a plstic one or your money is wasted. JLTs look good, and so do the roush and K&N.. they all give about the same gain.
if your looking for a TRUE CAI and not a ram air i would get nothing but JLT. theres are proven to give the most gain. |

If you want a paint-matched JLT RAI (like i have), order direct from JLT. Tucker has excellent customer service and good prices. I ordered both of my paint-matched RAI's straight from him.
The gains from a cold air aren't extravagant, but JLT has the best proven gains. Bullitts see a slightly better gain than the average GT. If you refer back to that huge paragraph I typed in your other thread, you'll see where I mentioned some good ideas on questions you're asking in this thread. For a shifter I'd recommend MGW, Hurst, or Pro 5.0. If you want a quality drop spring, again, I'd go with H&R. I recently put on H&R Race springs, and if you look at the most recent pics I posted, you'll see how the car wll look after they're installed. There's also a Sport and Super Sport spring that they offer, and they lower the car even more.

That's what I was going to suggest. Sports are low, but Super Sports are slammed. If it's your daily, I'd go with Sports.

If you get polyurethane spring isolators to replace the factory crap, it'll add about 1/4" to the height at all 4 corners. That could be an option.
I've also had experience with Steeda Sport Springs. I had them on my 03 GT with 17' DD bullitts with the tire combo I mentioned in the other thread. It had a nice stance to it. Not too low, but looked good and handled great.
