CD Burning Problems...Help!

Ok, I have been fawking around trying to burn some data on a CD/RW for about 3 days now with no luck. It goes thru the paces like it normally does then once it's done burning the program freezes up and I have to restart the puter to get the cd out and there is nothing on it. I have tried Nero and some other freebie and they both do the same thing. This all worked before. It has been a while since I burned a cd tho. Anyone have any ideas? Im thinking the CD ROM driver is bad but I cant find a copy of it anywhere. Help please.

Those are the CD ROM drivers? Where can I find new ones? The site for my CD ROM has no drivers.

update your firmware and/or trying using a different brand media type. What exactly are you trying to burn?

I uninstalled my driver and reinstalled it, no luck. I changed a few deals on the registry and still nothing. I have tried 3 different brand CR/R and CD/RW still nada. This is pissing me off. Im trying to burn data files. I tried music files also, which is usually what I burn but no luck. Any other ideas before I take my shotgun to this damn thing??

Try this program, it works pretty good and is free. if the firmware thing doesn't work. Oh yeah while you're at it update your mobo drivers too. I would also check your Ide connection and/or swap out and try another ide/ata cable.
