I bought a new alternator today because the battery gauge was going down and up when i would turn on the blinker, ac, or lights. the auto parts store tested it and said the bearings were bad. After I put the new alternator on, the gauge still jumps when I turn on anything. Any suggestions?
I had the same problem with my car when I installed UD pulleys. I ultimately installed a 3G alternator with a 4 gauge wire and that was the end of my problems.
i dont have UD pulleys but i will go buy new connectors and wires to see if that stops the problem. Has anyone ever heard of an instrument panel relay? Could that be my problem?
